Versatility, range and sassy stage presence are some of the trademarks of country performer Amanda Pearce, whose voice has a haunting soul way beyond her 24 years! All of five feet tall, Amanda packs a powerful punch with her striking good looks and enchanting soprano voice. Born in Springfield, IL, Amanda's interest in music began at an early age when she started performing in her church and school choirs. By the time she was 16, Amanda was giving audiences a regular dose of her soulful country sound at local clubs, festivals, opry's and county and state fairs. Now living in Nashville, Tn, Amanda kicked off her spring 2000 tour with her band, opening for singer John Berry in California and Gary P. Nunn in Texas. Since then she has gained several opportunities to open for other country artists such as Kenny Chesney, Gary Allen and Jamie O'Neal just to name a few. Winning every competition she enters, Amanda has garnered numerous awards over the past 5 years, including a chance to sing on a TV pilot for cable network TNN, first place in the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown competition 3 years in a row, and singing at the Tex Williams Induction into the N.A.C.M. Hall Of Fame. Amanda's first CD was released February, 2000 and is currently being played over 150 independent radio stations across the country. Titled Before I Fall, the CD showcases Amanda's vocal talent with a mixture of new and old country sounds. She is currently in the studio working on her next CD expected to be released early this summer (2002). "I
see her performing around town almost every weekend. I am just so fortunate
because I'm going to be able to say I knew her when. She can sing, that's
for sure. Take my word for it because I'm going to be telling the world
I knew her... I knew her long before anyone else did. Amanda Pearce, she's
gonna be huge!" |
